These days I keep busy as a Senior Director for Experience Strategy & Operations at Capital One, focusing on enabling our 750+ design team with design standards, education, community and associate experiences. If there’s a complicated interconnected system at play, hard problems to solve and talented designers to work with that’s where I want to be. I’m a huge advocate for the importance of Information Architecture and Systems Design and it’s impact on user experience, and a believer that great teams are the result of servant leadership and kindness first.

Leadership Philosophy

You are only ever as good as your team. When I first took on leadership roles, I knew it was important to step back and consider what kind of team I wanted to be a part of. In the end, it was exceedingly simple. My philosophy ever since has been to lead with kindness and empathy in order to create kind and emphatic teams. Teams with these critical characteristics are by their nature more creative and more innovative.
