Work History

Verizon
Information Architect

As an Information Architect with Verizon Services Organization, I perform heauristic evaluations of existing sites, research the best methodologies for new site designs, and create design artifacts including Wireframes and Design Documentation.

Language Computer Corporation
HCI Designer

As the only interface designer at LCC, I was in charge of gathering requirements for interface projects, producing iterations of low-level paper prototypes, and building finalized design documentation and prototypes to be used by the UI developer. I also performed heuristic and survey based evaluations for projects at the company. The interfaces ranged from simple UIs to more complex information visualization projects.

Institute for Computing Education at Georgia Tech
Graduate Student Assistant

My primary duty for ICE was to compile and analyze a large number of surveys produced from the on going education projects. Analysis was done primarily in Microsoft Excel, with some supplementary work done in Spotfire.

HamiltonAction.com
Affiliate Program Management Intern

HamiltonAction was a recently launched website requiring marketing assistance to pull in more money. As the summer manager of the Affiliate program, I was in charge of recruiting affiliates, helping them with design issues on their sites, creating banners and communicating with affiliates through the monthly newsletter. By the end of the summer, traffic from Affiliate sites increased by 11%.

Experiential Systems Group at Georgia Tech
Graduate Student Assistant

I designed a number of prototypes in Photoshop and Java Swing for an interactive map-based querying system for use in a system called eVITAe. I assisted with the development of this system using Java, Swing and OpenMap for Java. An in depth evaluation of the system was performed using surveys and traditional quantitative analysis for efficiency measures. The work was published at ACM Multimedia 2004.

Loyola College in Maryland with NASA Goddard
Hauber Summer Research Fellow

Work within a group to design and implement an Image Registration toolkit using Java, Java Swing and C. Initial design prototypes were designed in Photoshop.
